Hari ke-4 – Gua
Bangun, makan, jelajahi. Ngomong-ngomong, mari jelajahi area hulu hutan. Bukan berarti aku semakin bersemangat, justru menurun. Aku ingin makan selain jamur, bukan bicara soal mewah seperti nasi atau ramen, cuma makanan selain jamur.
Ini eksplorasi, jadi menakutkan kalau terlau jauh dari awal, jadi aku maju dari tepi sungai dengan pemandangan bagus. Jamur masih ditemukan di mana-mana, dan seperti biasa selain jamur tidak ada satupun.
Aku temukan dua Goblin dengan Detect Presence, level mereka 12 dan 11. Aku pakai [Movement Lv 1] dan [Wrapping Magic], lalu menyerang Goblin A dan mengalahkannya dalam satu pukulan, tapi "Movement Lv 1" terlalu cepat!! Aku melesat buta ke arahnya dan praktis tabrakan mobil.
Goblin B terkejut betapa cepat Goblin A dikalahkan, dan aku juga. Aku pakai Wrapping Magic memperkuat tongkat kayu. Goblin B dikalahkan dalam dua ayunan.
Mungkin Wrapping Magic bekerja atau mungkin cuma efek placebo. Tradisi meng gantung kepala ikan teri juga efektif karena keyakinan. Sekitarku cuma jamur jadi apakah aku akhirnya akan bergabung dengan kultus jamur? [1. Catatan TN: Pada masa Edo, ada kebiasaan menggantung kepala ikan teri untuk mengusir iblis]
Aku mulai menjelajahi lebih dalam ke hutan, aku sudah kumpulkan cukup makanan, udah muak jamur…
Lebih banyak goblin mendekat, kali ini ada 3. Lv 14, Lv 11, dan Lv 10. Aku pakai [Movement] dan [Wrapping Magic] lalu menyerang lagi. Aku mengalahkan Goblin A dengan satu pukulan tapi agak longgar karena hampir bergerak ke arah salah. Gak papa, jarak dari Goblin B melebar jadi butuh serangan cepat. Brengsek… Ugh, saat aku menerima konter. Saat aku pakai [Movement], aku gak bisa menghindar melesat ke mereka.
Sementara itu, kombinasikan menghindar, bergerak, dan menghindar lagi dalam pertarungan dengan Goblin C. Kalau aku tentuin tindakan dulu, akan menguntungkan seketika, tapi kalau gerak pelan, langsung merugikan. Pedang bermata dua, nah, tongkat kayu eigentlich.
Setelah itu, aku latihan dengan [Movement] di pikiran, kalau ketemu latihan. Sekarang aku juga bisa melingkupi seluruh tubuh dengan Wrapping Magic tanpa ribet.
Yang berbahaya itu [Movement], dan rahasia kalau aku jatuh dua kali. Aku gak akan nangis. Aku terima kerusakan lebih dari dugaan, jadi aku balik ke gua segera. Kerusakan yang aku terima dari tongkat yang aku pukul ke diri sendiri dan kerusakan menabrak goblin. Yah bunuh diri, bukan serangan bunuh diri, tapi bunuh diri beneran. Seorang blitzer yang jurus andalannya adalah orang cengeng. Goblin terakhir paling susah dibunuh meski aku gak yakin levelnya berapa.
Dia pakai gelang, jadi aku ambil, dan itu aksi merampok total.. Aku pencuri, perampok, atau pengangguran ya… [2. Catatan TN: Mungkin ketiganya?…]

Yosha, levelku naik. InT akhirnya naik jadi 40, dan stat lain naik sekitar 30. Dilihat dari status saja, aku jauh lebih kuat dari goblin? Tapi aku gak yakin karena aku susah di pertarungan satu lawan satu besar di akhir.
Ngomong-ngomong, aku pakai gelang, aku keluarin gelang dan pakai Appraisal.
「Bracelet ＰｏＷ＋１％ Monster Bracelet」 Yeah, naikkan powerku cuma 1%. Masih lebih baik dari nggak ada. Aku putusin pakai gelang meski aku bukan monster.
Sudah sore dan stamina pulih total, jadi aku putusin jalan-jalan ke hulu sungai. Gak banyak goblin di rute ini, dan seharusnya cuma small fry.
Aku merasakan kehadiran di hulu tapi bukan goblin. Aku masuk hutan sambil sembunyi dan gerak pelan dengan gerakan tenang tapi cepat biar gak berisik. Aku pakai [Clairvoyance], aku lihat tiga pria manusia. Saat aku amati dekat, mereka teman sekelas, tapi yang merepotkan, seorang preman di sekolah, dan kejahatan kelas, meski itu cuma pandanganku. Mereka orang yang berkumpul dan berisik buat nge-bully nerd tapi cuma segitu.
Aku pakai Appraisal sambil sembunyi, aku cuma lihat Lv dan Job. Job mereka Great Swordsman, Dual Swordsman, Flame Engineer, Lv 11, 3, dan 2, bedanya cukup jauh.
Aku putusin sembunyi di dekat untuk sekarang. Mereka duduk di dekat sungai dan mulai ngobrol jadi aku mendekat buat dengar. Kebanyakan obrolan info gak berguna, omongan erotik soal cewek.
20 dari 42 teman sekelas cewek, dan ada otaku yang kelihatannya paling aktif, semacam situasi tidak enak, nah, dia mungkin paling familiar dengan skill dan info lain soal transfer ke dunia lain. Di luar itu, kelihatannya grup Bitch egois cewek dan lima cewek lain dalam konflik.
Tiga ini grup preman, mereka gak kerja sama sekali, dan masih egois, gimana cewek-cewek itu? Aku penasaran apakah mereka akan menyerang cewek, aku kira mustahil, cewek punya ketua kelas, dan aku rasa dia gampang ngeh rencana mereka dan menghancurkannya.
Ini ketua kelas yang dari SD kelas 1, sampai SMA kelas 2, bikin murid patuh baik murid bermasalah maupun preman.
Hmm? Apa sih, sementara tiga preman ini ngobrol, aku sepertinya gak ngeh mereka… tapi apakah ada orang di dekat? Akan merepotkan kalau mereka ngeh aku.
Aku menyelinap pergi tapi terus mengawasi dari jauh, tapi tidak ada tanda orang lain selain mereka tiga, bahkan jejak pun tidak ada?
Aku gak tau apa yang terjadi, tapi aku gak perlu paksa campur, aku pulang.
Aku tahu semua teman sekelas di hulu tapi tidak ada alasan nyata buat ketemu mereka, kelihatannya ada situasi merepotkan dan hubungan manusia lumayan kacau. Semoga mereka jangan biarkan lumpur itu mengalir ke hulu ke arahku. Itu pencemaran lingkungan, apakah lingkungan Hikikomoriku tercemar? ? Atau mungkin lingkungan Loner atau lingkungan Botchi? Kelihatannya sudah tercemar, oleh orang yang dikenal sebagai aku.
Mari balik ke gua sebelum gelap, aku berburu dua goblin di jalan. Aku gak tau efek + 1% di gelang sama sekali, aku bisa dengan mudah buang goblin karena aku jadi lebih jago sembunyi kehadiran. Skill ini bisa dipakai, waktunya latihan.
Setelah itu, aku nemu kelinci yang jago sembunyi kehadiran, aku gak nemu tanpa menghapus kehadiranku. Ini pertama kalinya setelah ke dunia ini liat hewan. Pertama terpikir daging terus berburu kelinci. Aku ambil yang kayak jamur dan aku makan hidangan layak pertama sejak lama.
Ini pesta, enak banget. Berapa hari aku belom makan daging? Daging ditemani jamur, tapi itu gak masalah. Jamur bagus sebagai pelengkap, tapi jamur terlalu sering jadi utama. Ini solo performance!
Mau ngapain bulu kelinci kecil? Jual? Mustahil kalau gak berburu 100 ekor? Terlalu banyak.
Aku latihan sihir santai, perasaan pekerjaan sehari-hari. Aku coba-coba liat apakah tempat tinggal bisa ditingkatkan sedikit lagi, memakai Packing di tanah dan liat apa jadinya? Tarik dan liat apa jadinya? Regangkan dan liat apa jadinya? Keraskan, bikin lubang di tanah, bikin timbunan, atau bentuk? Eh, anehnya ini lumayan asyik. ……Aku lupa waktu. Oh iya, sudah tengah malam.

Hikikomori dan Loner naik. Apakah karena aku gak coba kontak teman sekelas? Atau karena aku senang main sendirian di kamar? Aku pasti nangis kalau NEET naik setelah kerja keras segini. Gelar ini menyakitkan perasaan.
Earth Magic? Ah~ main-main di gua dianggap Earth Magic. Boleh dapet Fire Magic dari panggang jamur dan Earth Magic dari gali gua? Begini kah di dunia lain? Gak terlalu fokus kehidupan sehari-hari?
Kelihatannya ide bagus menyelinap dan sembunyi. Erase presence dan Stealth skill bagus, bakal bantu membunuh diam-diam goblin. Besok diam-diam lagi dan naik level. Hidup di dunia lain ini apa sih, gak semegah di light novel. Paling tidak protagonis gak bakal bilang, 'Besok aku juga akan bersikap diam-diam.'
Nah, aku bakal diam-diam anyway. Iya kan, tentu saja.
Day 4 – Cave
Wake up, eat, explore. With that being said, let’s explore the upstream area of the forest. It’s not like I’m getting more excited, on the contrary, it’s going down. I want to eat something other than mushrooms, I’m not talking about something luxurious like rice or ramen, just food other than mushrooms.
It’s an exploration, it’s scary to go too far away from the get go, so I proceed from the riverside with a good view. Mushrooms are still found everywhere, and as usual anything other than mushrooms are nowhere to be found.
I found two Goblins with Detect Presence, their levels were 12 and 11. I used [Movement Lv 1] and [Wrapping Magic], then I ambushed Goblin A and defeated it with one blow, but “Movement Lv 1” was too fast!! I blindly rushed into it and it was practically a car crash.
Goblin B seems surprised at how quickly Goblin A was defeated and so was I. I used Wrapping Magic to strengthen the wooden stick. Goblin B was defeated in two swings.
Perhaps the Wrapping Magic is working or maybe it’s just the Placebo effect. The tradition of hanging sardine heads was also effective because of belief. There’s only mushrooms around me so will I eventually turn to the mushroom cult? [1. TN Note: During the Edo period, it was custom to hang sardine heads to ward demons away]
I begin to explore deeper into the forest, I’ve gathered enough food, I’ve had enough mushrooms…
More goblins approach, this time there are 3 of them. Lv 14, Lv 11, and Lv 10. I used [Movement] and [Wrapping Magic] then ambush again. I defeated Goblin A with a single blow but it was a bit sloppy as I almost moved in the wrong direction. It’s okay though, the distance from Goblin B widened so I need to launch a quick attack. Shit…Ugh, as I receive a counter. When I use [Movement], I’m unable to avoid launching into them.
In the meantime, it’s a combination of evasion, movement, and more evasion in my fight with Goblin C. If I decide my course of action first, it will be advantageous towards me in an instant, but if I move slowly, it will be disadvantageous for me at once. It’s a double-edged sword, well a wooden stick actually.
After that, I practice with [Movement] in mind, if I find it then I practice it. I can now also surround my entire body with Wrapping Magic without much hassle.
It’s [Movement] that is dangerous, and it’s a secret that I fell two times. I won’t cry. I took more damage than I had expected, so I returned to the cave immediately. The damage I received was from the club that I hit myself with and the damage I received crashing into the goblins. Well suicide, not a suicide attack, but true suicide. A blitzer whose special move is being a Klutz. The last goblin was the hardest to kill although I’m not sure what level it was.
It wore a bracelet, so I took it, and it was a complete act of looting.. I wonder if I’m a thief, a robber, or an unemployed person … [2. TN Note: Perhaps all three?…]

Yosha, my level went up. The InT has finally risen to 40, and the other stats have risen to around 30. Judging just by status, I’m a lot stronger than a goblin? However, I am not convinced since I struggled in the big one-on-one battle at the end.
Speaking of which, I was wearing a bracelet, I took out the bracelet and used Appraisal on it.

I feel a presence upstream but it’s not a goblin. I head into the forest while hiding and moving slowly with a steady yet quick movement to not make noise. I use [Clairvoyance], I can see three human men. When I closely examined them, they were my classmates, but it’s a troublesome one, a delinquent at school, and the evil of the class, although that’s just how I viewed it. They’re people that flock together and make noise to bully the nerds but that’s about it.
I use Appraisal while hidden, I can only see Lv and Job. Their jobs are Great Swordsman, Dual Swordsman, Flame Engineer, Lv 11, 3, and 2, there is quite a huge difference.
I decide to hide nearby for now. They sat down near the river and started talking so I approached them to hear the conversation. Most of the conversation was useless information, erotic talk about girls.
20 out of 42 classmates are girls, and there is an otaku who seems to be particularly active, sort of an unpleasant situation, well, he’s probably the most familiar with skills and other information related to transferring to another world. Other than that, it seems that the girls’ selfish Bitch group and five other girls are in a conflict.
These three are the bully groups, they don’t do any work at all, and they’re still acting selfish, what about those girls? I wonder if they’re going to assault the girls, I guess it’s impossible, girls have the class representative, and I think she’ll easily see through their plans and crush them.
It is the class representative who from elementary school year 1, to high school year 2, made students obedient whether they were problematic students or delinquents
Hmm? What the hell, while these three delinquents are talking to each other, I didn’t seem to notice them…but is there someone nearby? It’d be a hassle if they noticed me.
I sneak away from the place but I continue to monitor from a distance, but there is no sign of anyone other than those three, not even a trace?
I don’t know what’s going on, but I don’t need to force myself to get involved, I’m going home.
I found out that all of my classmates were upstream but there was no real reason for me to go and meet them, it seemed like there was some sort of troublesome situation and the human relationships seemed muddy. I hope they don’t let that mud flow downstream to me. That’s environmental pollution, will my Hikikomori environment be polluted? ? Or is it perhaps a Loner environment or a Botchi environment? It looks like it’s already polluted, by the person known as me.
Let’s return to the cave before it gets dark, I hunt two goblins on the way. I don’t know the effect of + 1% on the bracelet at all yet, I could easily get rid of the goblins because I’d gotten better at hiding my presence. I can use this skill, time for practice.
After that, I found out there were rabbits who excelled at concealing their presence, I couldn’t find it then without removing my presence. It was the first time after coming to this world to see animals. The first thing that came to mind was meat then rabbit hunting. I grab something that seems like a mushroom and I eat the first decent meal I’ve had in awhile.
It was a feast, it was delicious. How many days has it been since I’ve eaten meat? The meat was accompanied by mushrooms, but that wasn’t a problem. Mushrooms are great as side dishes, but the mushrooms play a leading role too frequently. It is a solo performance!
What should I do with the tiny rabbit fur? Sell it? It’s impossible unless I hunt a 100 or so? That’s too many.
I practice my magic leisurely, an everyday occupation kind of feeling. I conduct trial and error to see whether the residence can be improved a little more, casting Packing on the ground and seeing what happens? Pulling and seeing what happens? Stretching it and seeing what happens? Harden it, make a hole in the ground, make a mound, or shape it? Huh, for some reason this is kind of fun. ……I forgot the time. Oh yeah, it was midnight.

Hikikomori and Loner went up. Is it because I didn’t even try to make contact with my classmates? Was it because I was having fun playing alone in the room? I would’ve cried if NEET went up after working this much. These titles hurt me emotionally.
Earth Magic? Ah~messing around with the cave was seen as Earth Magic. Is it okay to gain Fire Magic from grilling mushrooms and Earth Magic from tunneling a cave? Is this how it’s supposed to be in another world? Isn’t it too livelihood focused?
It seems like it was a good idea to sneak around and hide myself. Erase presence and Stealth are good skills, they’ll help me in assassinating goblins. Let’s be sneaky tomorrow and raise my level. What’s with this lifestyle in another world, it’s not nearly as gorgeous like in light novels. At the very least, the protagonist wouldn’t say, ‘I’m going to be sneaky tomorrow as well.’
Well, I’m going to be sneaky either way. I mean of course I am.
